The train arrived on time amazingly to Surat Thani and from here I had to catch a bus to the Doc. I had heard its much cheaper to catch local bus then to pay bus ferry combo. I found the local bus and caught it into town - unfortunately the locals were used to this forward thinking by independent backpackers and did their best to try rip me off.
