Day 1 Puerto Vallarta!!! Not sleeping so well but feeling very relaxed I woke up to all the church bells, alarms and other strange noises always apparent in a new place. After some breakfast and a chat with Gaby I made some really good Mexican coffee and then made my way to the beach to see what the beach was like. The beach was absolutely beautiful and even though there are hotels, touristy shops the place has a real charm about it. I found the supermarket and straight away went to get some fresh vegetables and fruits - with new motivation to get in lots of vitamins and minerals and keep my health on a positive note. The weather here is beautiful and I know its early to say but this may just be my favorite place in Mexico so far. I walked along the pristine and fanciful broadwalk that would compare with Los Angeles and Barcelonas famous counterparts. The majority of tourists are middle-aged Americans lazing around eating good food, drinking and enjoying their summer vacations. As the sun descended I along with 100s of other people watched the sky change from a bright blue to a wondrous array of reds, oranges and violets. I sat in awe for about an hour before deciding to go see Gaby at her work - Cheeky monkeys bar and resteraunt. On the way back to the house we stopped in at a tequila house where I got to try some of the best tequilas from the region which included fruit intwined tequilas to a wonderful 7 year old Oakes tequila. Feeling quiet tipsy we headed back to make some dinner. Another great day and a wonderful night hanging out with Gaby and chatting about travels, life, work and everything else in between.
