This morning was a bit of a slow start but by about 9am people had started to rise so it was time to get up.
I decided to go for a but of a walk around Taiping - quiet a nice small city located between a mountain range.
I ended up at the Mall using the free wifi had myself a fresh coconut and brought some local Chinese coconut cookies.
When I got back to the house in the mid afternoon lunch was on - last-nights leftovers. I was really trying to leave room for tonight's wedding dinner but the food once again looked so good I couldn't help myself; more curry chicken, sautéed green beans, king prawns and coconut chutney.
There is one thing for sure Indian cuisine is heavy and I dear say not the most healthy with all the sauces and fatty meats. Caths Mum has told me its only 3 days - eat and eat and eat some more then come Monday go on a diet haha I like it!
Tonight we are heading to the venue at about 6:30pm so I got myself ready early and waited around until party time.
The evening kicked off at about 8pm with some nice music and a few speeches,
Next came the food and wow what a feast first out came the fried chicken, next the king prawns, sautéed vegetables, vegetable omelette, Fried Thai style sea bass, mutton curry, fruit salad and Tom Yung soup. My god I am in heaven once more and somehow once again I find some room and try everything and head back for second and thirds serves.
I however ate far too much and made myself a little sick and then had the regret feeling.
Next came the performances and from the singing to Cath and her cousins dancing the night took off with a bang. The music cranked up and the crazy dancing started and wow these Indian folk can dance and dance they did until early morning! It wasn't long before I got dragged into the dance circle and had to perform my best Indian dance impression.
One thing I noticed no one here needed alcohol to have a good time and more people danced tonight and yet not a drip of alcohol was served.
Another amazing night with new friends from afar and another day I am grateful to be right where I am here in Malaysia with people once strangers now like family. After the function we headed to a skybar for nightcap drinks!
