Day 2 Malaka and thankfully a very good nights sleep. We decided to get up early and visit a Chinese Temple and see the local Chinese community bring in the New Year. It was quite spine tingling standing inside temple hearing the monks chant and seeing the sea of people.
We then headed around the canal taking in the artwork and sights along the walkway.
Macy had never been on a trike tour so we hired a trike a driver and a big sound system and did the Malaka look - was pretty fun but not something I would usually waste money on.
After that we headed back to the hotel and ordered room service an amazing seafood, egg, noodle soup - I think Macy is trying to get me fat haha.
After lunch we made the 5 hour trek back to Johar Baru - the roads were jam packed and there were people everywhere. We stopped halfway and I tried the fruit Durian - banned in a number of countries because of the hideous smell but tasting like ice cream everyone's favorite.
When we arrived in Jb we went to the supermarket and I got some things as I would be cooking for Macy tomorrow to say Thankyou for everything she had done.
Tonight was another treat from Macy a typical Thai/Malay meal at her favorite roadside resteraunt. What a feast it was with sweet, sour and spiced fried fish, seafood Tom Yung, chicken stirfry, mango salad and this crazy drink with jelly, fruits, fungus, seeds, barley and every other thing you have never seen before. Once again I couldn't stop and ate until my belly pleaded me no - it seems a typical thing here overheating, everyone over-orders and refuses to waste food. People are a little overweight here but not to a crazy extent. A full belly then a new movie to watch and I would call that a good day.
