This morning I woke to more bleak weather but no worries I would be making the long journey back to Kuala Lumpur today and thus be spending most of it in the bus.
I left Kuni's place by 9am and made my way to the Queen St Bus terminal - had a bit of luck and managed to get the express bus for the same price as the local bus. The journey to Johor Baru was much quicker and I had arrived by 10:20am.
Straight onto another express bus bound for KL. I was expecting the journey to take 4.5 hours but amazingly we arrived at the bus terminal at 2:30pm meaning only 3.5 hours on the bus.
Next I had to catch a train out to one of the stations near KLIA and then swap over onto a bus connection to the LCCT - where I would be flying out of! I had arrived by 4:30pm and my flight is not till midnight, I guess it's good to arrive early but b***** 8 hours to kill - at least they have wifi and I have a bunch of coconut cookies.
The time went very slow this afternoon, I sat at Maccas and waited for 9pm to come around - my butt has gone numb for the 10th time today and my bag is getting harder and heavy to swing up onto my back every time. Finally the time came to check in and with the 3 hours I had up my sleeve I went sampling at one of my favorite stores - dried fruits, nuts, biscuits and dried meats.
At about 11:30pm I popped a sleeping pill and boarded my flight bound for Australia. The flight was only 5.5 hours but after all the announcements, dinner being served it was 2:30am and still not a wink of sleep.
