This morning the weather was quite overcast and there was a lot of light drizzle so I decided to only adventure around near to where I was staying.
I went and checked out the Prague TV tower which a local artist has decorated with these huge baby sculptures that are designed to look as of they are crawling up and down the tower. Quite unique and quite pleasing to the eye. Next I checked out the local Christmas markets where people were selling a lot of homemade goods. I tried some figs, dates, apricots and Raisens which had been soaked it Czech brandy and bottle for 2 weeks - amazing to say the least. I also tried a number of natural teas which are made straight from the fruit.
Next I walked into the old city which was absolutely packed with tourists and went straight to the famous bridge: Charles the 4th bridge that leads over the river to the castle. I got some great panorama shots just as the sun was going down. I can't believe it but the city gets even more beautiful at night.
Wednesday: It is really cold today and I can feel the winter snow approaching. I had to go pick my Thai Visa up today which was a two hour walk away and through bitterly cold Prague.
I stumbled across a R35 GTR carbon fibre edition today a very rare car of my dreams- I used to own an r32 GTR the fastest street production car ever built with twin turbos- although all that seems a world away now. I was pleased I could just stand and admire such a beautiful piece of technology without being overcome with urges to own such an automobile.
Later in the afternoon I checked out the local farmers which was quite small but had some interesting foods however nowhere near as good as the Baltic markets I have visited over last few weeks.
Thursday - it is bitterly cold today so I gave my self just 3 things to do: adventure down to the chemist for some face wash, spend the last of my Czk money which was quiet a lot €10 and finally made dinner for Zuzanna my wonderful Couchsurfing host.
I decided to make teriyaki chicken and vegetables on a bed of Basmatti rice - first time I have ever made and turned out really well. I marinated the chicken pieces, vegetables and some spring onions all day in some traditional Indian Teriyaki Spices and then cooked all parts separately! We celebrated the end of my visit with good food, some sweet Chinzano wine and good company.
I don't usually prey but tonight I asked the man upstairs to spare us from the snow tommorow - as I don't think my body could handle it :)
