Lastnight my host and the other surfer were up until 5am preparing food for a tour they were sending out today so unfortunately I didn't get any sleep. I went over and seen the 3 lads I had been traveling and doing tours with for the last couple of weeks, as they were off to Argentina on the bus today. We all expect to be in Patagonia around the same time so we will keep in contact and hopefully meet up when we are there. The rest of the morning I walked around the town which is incredibly small and touristic and brought a few fruits and vegetables before heading back to Luis's for lunch. Food is so expensive here I have just been living off vegetables and eggs and I hate to say it but chocolate biscuits aswell. After lunch I had a bit of a siesta before heading of on a small trek out of the town to a ruined ancient city. The heat here is so intense in the middle of the day that people literally shut up their shops and head inside to get out of the heat. I started my trek at around 3:30pm and the heat was still belting down; meaning the walk out took some time as my body was being zapped of all its energy. When I arrived I found out there was another entry fee and to be honest I could see most of the ruined city from the road so I decided just to walk around the base of the site. I found this really cool canyon that went into a number of different caves so I spent my time exploring that. The walk back was much easier and more pleasant as there was a nice wind blowing and a little shade from the sun. For dinner I cooked up a heap of vegetables and made myself an omelette - one of my favorite foods I haven't had for a while. The rest of the night we all sat around (there is 5 of us in Luis's tiny flat) talking about travels and life.
