Locals Market!! Another day in Siem Reap and today I am off to find the local market - which no one seems to know about. I started the day with my fried eggs and baguette, sent a few emails then headed into the city. This time I was armed with a map and directions to the market so I couldn't go wrong. After a 45 minute walk I arrived and was rather disappointed; it was only a little bigger then the central market, it wasn't very busy and prices were not so cheap. I found a popular little place selling Khmer deserts and went for some palm seed/ sweet pomegranate seed with coconut milk and ice; it was absolutely delicious and it has fruit in it so somewhat nutritionally rewarding. I also grabbed some palm sugar juice and then called it quits and started the walk back to the city. I found myself back at the centre market and grabbed a few things for lunch and then started the long way back to the hostel. For lunch I had grabbed some of my favorite sellers rice paper rolls and a pork, vegetable - stirfry type thing. Not feeling like doing too much more I relaxed the rest of the afternoon; taking the time to do some yoga and a little reading. In the evening I found myself back to the central market looking for some new Cambodia food to try; in the end going for BBQ quail and a mango salad. I don't know if I had ever tried quail before but this quail was incredible.
