Hey guys, it's Amy and Justin.
Well have we got loads to tell you, we just hope that we have enough time to write everything.
We are still in Rotorua where we had an action packed day, waking up early to see Wai-a-tao (don't ask us how to pronounce it) Where there was loads of geo thermal activity and pools of different colours. I thought Amy had farted a really bad eggy one, but as it turns out it's just the sulphur!! (but she did do a bad one later)
From here we went White water rafting, on a grade 5, with three water falls, including a 7 metre drop, one of the biggest in commercial rafting . Justin looked particularly dashing in his pale blue wet suit and bright red helmet. We had an amazing time, however, the boat capsized over the 7m waterfall, which is very unusual, it was traumatic for all of us, even the instructor, as we all got caught under the water, but we are still here to tell the tale. We blamed it on these two people who were not exactay pulling their weight (lets just say they were europeans, that like Brotwurst and drive on autobans - ZEEE GERMANS!!) They were actually a very nice couple, but didn't have a clue. All in all it was good fun and an amzing experience and we would both do it again, even if we did capsize (just not with our european friends, oh and a fat Australlian, who made justin look slim, even in his wet suit)
After lunch we drove up to Whakatane, on the Bay of Plenty (which is actually pronounced with a F-U-K instead of wh) Both of us in our mature ways didn't find this funny at all (whatever!) It was quite quiet as everyone had left the place due to a tsunami alert. So we saw the active island volcanoe (only from the coast).
We decided that after an eventful week of driving and the campervan etc, we hadn't had a chance to do some relaxing so we checked ourselves in to this Polynesiam Spa heated up by the natural thermal activity. 7 pools all of different temperatures were awaitng us. I (Amy) was happy to sit in the hottest pool looking over the lake at a beautiful, tranquil location, only to be distracted by justin, popping in and out of the pool every minute like a jack in the box because it was too hot for him. We didn't leave until 10;30pm, and we felt much better.
Off the Taupo and maybe futher today. Going to check out skiing and bungee jumping to compare with queenstown. Next update might be in a couple of days.
love justin and Amy xxxxxxxxxxxx
PS having issues everywhere we go uploading photos. (costs too much fo internet and it takes way too long to upload even a couple) we will do it soon.
