Yesterday we went into the city and explored a little. We took the train from Ormiston, right by bree's house, and got off at South Bank in Bris city. We didn't really have an agenda so we wandered around town and exchanged some money. We walked through the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) campus, and through a bit of the city botanical gardens. Julia's sister Jill goes to school at QUT, so we met up with her and had lunch. There were these funny looking birds named Ibis, with really long beaks, and they were major food scavengers. We watched them make a huge mess by sifting through all the left over garbage on this table and throwing everything they didn't want on the ground. It was funny...Especially since there are all these signs saying not to feed the Ibis...Then we walked over to this rock climbing area called kangaroo point. It was really hot though, so we didn't stay that long. Lucas got some climbing in, though...We took the train back and Bree's Aunt Rhondda had arrived (there are a lot of family members coming into town for Travis' 21st birthday party), and she made a delicious noodle and vege stir-fry...vegetarian especially for us!!! how nice!!!

This morning we went on a run and Lucas spotted a koala at the top of a eucalyptis tree. He was so cute.

Tonight we're going fishing with the boys, which should be fun!

Travis' party will be on Saturday, and should be way fun. 21st birthdays are a big deal here, and they are a time for family and friends to embarass you. So Bree's made a video of Travis through the years, and it's supposedly really funny! All Trav and Bree's friends will be there, and so will family and family friends...We'll let you know how it goes~!
