Jayson Stickings South Africa Tour for Demelza
Friday 27th August - N'Kwazi to Divava
Distance:230km
Today we follow the river's edge for about 220kms on its way down to the desert plains in Botswana. The river forms a natural border between Namibia and Angola and is the lifeline to the Kavango people who live on its banks. The area is considerably greener than the rest of Namibia.
Our nights' accommodation is in the luxurious surrounds of one of the Leading Lodges of Africa. Divava Okavango Lodge & Spa nestled amongst wonderful trees on the banks of the majestic Okavango River a few hundred metres from Popa Falls. It is fondly referred to by the locals asParadishi Ghomumbiru; (Little Paradise).
