Tuesday, the 28th was a real reward for living through being wet most of the day on Monday.
We got up and had a much healthier breakfast at home. Then, I had spotted a pecan factory and store close by on TripAdvisor so we got ready and went to visit Priesters Pecans. It had a nice gift shop, a small delli and lunch area and all kinds of pecan goodies with lots of samples around. I also saw a $20 pecan pie! We went upstairs to the vieweing area and watched as they made their sweets.
We had only stocked up on canned goods and minimimal fridge items before we left so we made a trip to Walmart for some stock for the fridge. Had a good Chef salad for dinner and ate outside enjoying the weather.
It got up to 80 degrees and at one point I had on shorts and a short sleeve short, Hooray!
The park was really nice and only had a few RV's early in the day but as the day wore on it filled up. Jerry got to meet a couple of the folks parked next to us, one from Fort Wayne and the other from Peoria.
I'm finding that parks advertise WIFI but it is at the office and if you get a spot far away or with a big motorhome between us and the office I don't have a WIFI signal. So... I will post as I can.
Tommorrow will be the last leg and on to Gulf Shores.
