Yesterday visited Dunera Museum the reason we Came to Hay. First came the Dunera Boys 2500 Jewish Internees brought to Hay from Europe in 1940 Joshua knew one of the grandson of the Dunera boys when studying his Barmitza. The reason why they were named Dunera is the ship they were brought on was called Dunera after the boys came the next internees were Italians and then the Japanese between 1940 and 46 the Australian 16th garrison Battalion guarded over 6000 Internees. today we went to the Shear outback Hall of Fame. We watched a sheep being shorn in the Hay shire before the drought they had over 2 million sheep now it is only 600,000 also the shearer get $2.68 per sheep shorn and the record in 1980 was 342 the average per day is between 40 to 400 in 1890 a bloke shorn 328 with hand shears
