Your trip into the highlands sounds great but just do me a favour - send a quick email when you arrive in Hoi An. A motorbike trip hasn't fared too well with Mel and John in the Far East but I am praying you will break the jinx!!!! I will be happier once I hear from you. Off to a weekend show at Caerphilly in Cardiff which will help take my mind off you!!
We are in the middle of a heat wave here - I think yesterday was the hottest recorded day in July for nearly 100 years! Wells market was very oppressive and I try to take the dogs out early to the woods or late.
I get the impression that you are really enjoying the Far East. It's good to have some photos too - any of you? I recognise the temple with the tree roots-would like to go there myself. Is it very touristy?
Off to walk dogs now. Mel going down to the cottage with Lola and Tariq today and meeting Louise, Hunter and a chap who is working on her house and lives in a wigwam. 2 couples who aren't couples - that'll get Cawsand talking!
Safe journey-Love MXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Good to hear from you - have just looked up S21 and now know that it is a prison where nobody survived. As you say, part of the terrible history of the people out there with about a third of the population being killed by starvation or torture. Poor souls!
All the more rewarding when you are larking about with the children of the survivors and pretending to be a climbing frame!! Are you travelling on your own now?
Can't believe that it is less than a month now until you come home - make the best of the time you have left which you are! It will be a culture shock to be back here.

Great to hear from you again. Have looked up Siem Reap, Battambong and the Angkor Wat temples and it all looks fascinating. Completely different culturally to where you have been previously. I would just love to go to a market there!!!!
All well here though rain has slowed down the diggers at Swainsford. It has been incredibly hot - the hottest June recorded ever!! We all went to Putsborough last weekend to celebrate Colin Brown's 60th and it was even too hot for me!! Lola had fun paddling in the pools. Will had a good holiday in Greece and is very very brown. He's keeping up his tan while working for Avon and they are probably going wake boarding after work tonight.
Sheila and Jo are having a good break in Cawsand. Dad is very jealous as we went all the way down to Falmouth for a boat trip hoping to see basking sharks but didn't, and Shiela and Jo went over to Plymouth on the ferry and saw 2, close enough to touch them!!!!
I am off to Cawsand tomorrow after my market, for a show at Wadebridge on Saturday and will stay down there for the Sunday.
Your forms etc have arrived for your accomodation and we have to send off a deposit of £150 within 10 days. You are in the centre of Bristol as requested. Will contact Will's parents to check you are in the same house.
Make the best of your trip out there.
Lots of Love

Beautiful day here - just back from Mel's where we had a bbq lunch. John came down from London for the day and Will was there too - everyone except you! Gave you a toast in beer and wondered what you were doing - Mel said probably at a bar sipping whisky from a bucket with a straw!!!!??

Glad you have made it. Expect you will be glad to get out of Bangkok and travelling to Ko Pang Yang. I remember John saying how hectic Bangkok is. Weather better here too and very hot today. Have taken Lola to Shaftesbury Farmers Market just to shop, she had lunch with us and is now back at Mels for a sleep. They are coming back this evening with 2 of her friends from London plus Robbie, Nerys and granny for a b b q. Have to sweep the patio as it is a real mess!!
Mojo went very well at Supadogs with 7 clears and 5 places and he came 10th in the final. Toots got better as the week went on. It was a good break for me though weather was not good - cold but dry.
I think you are on to the best part of your trip now or at least the part I am most envious of. Make the best of the next 2 months.
Lots of love
