Hi josh, glad to hear your having such a great time:) keep it up! U should definately try to get in contact with Mike's (my flatmates) cousins in Aukland, there a bit older than u but you wouldn't know it once u get chatting to them. If u do catch up with them let them know that the Guys from Tooting say hello. Your probably see a diffent side of New Zealand if manage to meet up with them. And make sure u get to see Dans impression of Russle Crowe, very funny. Take it easy josh.

Reread your message - it's not a cruise is it?! My mistake!
Wonder how swimming with dolphins will compare with swimming with Bull Seals?

Re your mobile - read an article about mobile charges overseas. They recommend the 'global' SIM card which is PAYG. 25p/min from NZ, 21/Oz 66p Thailand. 14p for us to call you and no charge for incoming texts or incoming calls. Website is www.0044.co.uk and card costs £34.99 with £5 credit.
Cruise sounds great - how much is it with flight back to Auck.
Must go and do some work now

Josh - your photos bring back a lot of happy memories from when Nelly and I were in NZ 4 years ago. Do not miss the Waitangi Day celebrations on 6 February - we were at Bay of Plenty at the time and it was spectacular.
If you get a chance, go sailing on the 12 metre yachts they have (or had) in Auckland - it was a fantastic experience. Also don't miss the Whales at Kaikoura in South Island - they say that the best time to see them is on the first trip in the morning. Another experience is the International Rugby Sevens Tournament in the latter part of February in Wellington - a real experience at the Cake Tin as the Stadium is nicknamed.....
Have a great time
John

Thanks for that exciting start to your trip - reminiscent of Melanie's emails about falling off trucks etc!!!! Will take your journal entry into Dad this afternoon.
He had a good night's sleep and the pain seems to easing, but he is reluctant to come home until tomorrow. He won't get the 5 star treatment here!!!!!
Look forward to hearing about your trip around the islands.
