Hi Guys,
Well India so far has been challenging but this was to be expected, nothing is what it seems ! I spent 2 nights in Delhi and hated it, its so in your face, you are constantly asked to look at a shop, visit a travel agent, take a taxi or tuc tuc, add the heat, smell, traffic and over population, all I can say it that its wearing ! But we battle on, I visited a few temples, the Red fort and the India gate area, nothing major to see to be honest, you could give it a skip !!! Then I got a train from Delhi to Kalka and another train from Kalka to Shimla. This train ride is brill, slow, lots of stops, great views and very de-stressing after Delhi ! The town its self has lost its orginal charm but its a good base for touring the area. I chilled out here for a day and then went deeper into the Himilayas, to a village called Sahara, again stunning views of the mountains, lots of peace and quite and a wounderful old temple/place. The people are so friendly and helpful - big contrast to Delhi ! I'm now back in Shimla and travel to Dharamsala tomm. Near Dharamsala is McLeodgani, this is where the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government live since their exile from Tibet, so excited about visiting this area, lets hope the 10 bus trip is worth it !
Later folks.
