Well I finally arrived In Perth after a 13 hour flight from Heathrow to Singapore, a 2 hour delay and then a 5 hour flight from Singapore to Perth!

Let me just start by saying that the plane journey's were by far the weirdest and most unusual ones i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! That was all due to the company of course!

Here i was nervous to get on a plane, on my own for the first time in my life, stumbling to find my seat and was then suddenly greeted by a set of silver plated teeth grinning at me from, what seemed to be, the seat next to mine! I had to double take because not only did this man have silver teeth but he had a blue- permanently inked -face and when i say face i mean WHOLE BODY! Yes ladies and gentlemen i had to spend 13 hours sat next to a human smurf! At first i thought he was trying to re-create the Australian Flag as i saw a couple of stars etched into his skin, but to be honest i don't know what he was trying to do with that look! It was certainly an insight into the people of Australia, that was for sure!

The next plane ride, the one to Perth, was no better! I was sat next to a nice guy who was very passionate about his country and especially patriotic about Perth! He was giving me usful tips and resembled a nifty tour guide! That was until he ordered five vodka and cokes in the space of 5 hours! By the sixth drink the air hostesses were even getting a little suspicious! You wouldn't be surprised if i told you the last time i saw him was at the duty free eyeing up the alcohol! haha

Anyway, all i can say is that it was a long and tiring journey and wouldn't jump at the chance to do it again! So I was very glad to be on solid ground and even welcomed the sniffer dog with open arms! (okay so not with open arms, but it was very cute!) When i walked out of the aiport i was greeted by the warm sunshine, as well as my aunt and her family that i am set to stay with for a month before jetting off to Sydney! So i am extremely excited and cannot wait to see what Australia has to offer!!
