Train from Bangkok to Champon (south Thailand), which was a sleeper train. We took Valium so we was a sleep in about 40 mins and had an amazing sleep. Then got a ferry over to Ko Tao, which was completely touristy. Our diving resort is really nice, it's definitely the more expensive school. We got our own tablets to do our theory work. The first day was really good but it's been raining really hard all day and so being in the pool all day with the rain pouring down, i was so cold all day. Worst of all, i had to have a cold shower to warm up! Getting used to breathing under water is strange and when your ear pop on the way down. The training sessions start from 8:30 till 17:30 with a 1 hour break, feels like I'm back at school! The strangest feeling is watching the rain pour on the water whilst being underneath. When i finally got into the sea and went down, it was the best experience ever! Never seen such large, colourful fish in my life. I've fallen in love with diving, almost addicted! It was like watching the film "Finding Nemo", and i have loads more dive sights to go to yet. We are going to do our advanced diving course so that we can dive up to 30 meters, which will allow us to dive in some amazing spots in the Philippenes, Indonesia and Australia!
