Back to Barcelona... We loved this place! Like I said, Megan and I mostly just laid around at the beach... tough work I know! We would wake up every morning and walk down the street to the fruit market, where we'd pick up something sweet and juicey. We'd walk down the street a bit further to the supermarket where we always got the same thing... bread and cheese. The meal of champions. And by champions, I mean Platts. So we'd casually stroll down Las Ramblas (the happenest/touristest place to be), wave high to the Christopher Columbus statue as we passed, and sit in the shade under a palm tree to eat our delicious meal while staring at boats... and at some thing that looked like a giant nose... and at some other thing that looked like a marshmellow factory land. After filling up on bread and cheese with cow faces on them, we continued our walk to the beach... it's a pretty good walk. Once there, we'd find our spot in the sand, close to the water, and sqeezed in between about a million other beachgoers. Ahhh... relaxation.
Eventually it would come time to say goodbye to the beach for the day. Sigh. We'd walk back to our hostel, take showers, sometimes a nap (hey, laying on the beach is exhausting!) and meet up with Joanna for our evening events. We did some pretty cool things in Barcelona (besides just the beach... although that was obviously the highlight). But I've been rambling long enough now, so I'll let the girls describe our Barcelonian nights :)
