Hey hey everyone haven't done this for ages so am starting to forget what I have been up to. I met up with mad Kirsty and Kerry in Queenstown and we went out lots and partied and went up a big gondala which was scary and did some more snowboarding in The Remarkables where they filmed a lot of the LOTR which was nice and icey and fell off the chair lift and hurt my bum luckily its big so thats ok! We then drove 5 hours down to the Fiordlands and did a beautiful boat cruise around which was so stunning and we ended up staying in Te Anu for the night which wasn't much to write home about and had the worst chinese ever but we had a laugh at the service and food! They were sticking around for a few more days but I decided to head to Christchurch which again was not much to talk about and it was raining lots so I decided to head back up to Westport and see if I could get work. I stopped in the most amazing place along the way as it was a big drive in Lake Tekapo and it was well relaxing, big open fires and met loads more nice people and chilled out and when we woke up in the morning it was snowing like mad so it was quite tough drive to Westport and slippery but to cut a long story short if anyone knows me and cars I just about made it :-) I met up with a girl I had met earlier who said there was work going at a horse trekking place which I stuck around for about a week. The accomadation was free and I looked after 14 horses and got a good refresher on tacking up and feeding them but wasn't very good at it and got soaked taking out a some people on a trek and the mum fell off before she even got on and some of the girls didn't like the riding and started to cry and wanted to walk so it was all a bit stressful and so I decided being a horse trekking guide was probably not for me....also staying in a barn was quite scary although they did give me some big dogs so guard me which I think made me more scared as the dribbled lots and looked boss eyed!!! After much thought I decided to move on and head back to Picton and ended up back at the gorgoues Villa hostel and gave some friends a call back in Wellington and told them I would be arriving and that I would be crashing at their place..... it was great to be back in Wellington and see everyone and luckily Heather was looking to head North so we started making our plans. Had a pretty dull week back in Welly after the rollercoaster ride in the South Island. Kinds missing Kieran and his mad irish ways and music but hopefully seeing him soon in Auckland. Will write soon am in another beautiful place tonight and got a nice big bottle of red vino to drink ITS A HARD LIFE TRAVELLING. Love u lots big hugs Jo xxxx
