Granada had a very impressive moorish palace / fortress overlooking the city, we spent about four hours at this place.
Sevilla is definitely a highlight of the trip so far. The home of bullfighting, this is ever present everywhere you go with the bull heads on the walls of every tapas bar, shops and restaurant. We took a tour of the city's famous bull ring 'plaza de toros de la real maestranza de' which was really interesting but they told us they still kill 6 bulls at every fight. I'm not quite sure how they get away with that.
A big river runs through it and there are a number of churches. We met a lovely couple of ladies from Jersey NY USA at lunch who insisted in taking a photo for us and wishing us many happy children.
We had a great afternoon after all the sight seeing sitting in the afternoon sun drinking sangria and sampling the many tapas at a few places on the way back to the bus.
Cordoba used to be the capital of the Muslim Empire in Spain and its main attraction reflects it - a huge mosque that was built over the ruins of a Christian basilica. When the Catholics later took conquered the city, one of the first things they did was reconvert it into a cathedral! We spent the afternoon walking through the cobbled streets of the (lovely) Jewish quarter and exploring the rest of this picturesque town.
We stayed quite far outside of town, surrounded by fields full of olive trees for miles and miles. This was jollys favourite campground because we were pretty much the only ones there, it was like having a resort to our selves, lounging by the huge pool with no one in sight, it was lovely.
