29th August 2011
It was on to the French the French Rivera on the 27th. After a long drive and only minimal pitstops we were at the CONTIKI village situated on a farm. There were horses neighing and chooks running around... Felt like home!
We set up our cabins- I was in with Emma this time. After some frogs legs !! Yes frogs legs - ok ok they are super garlicy like the snails but taste yummmmm like chicken, and I know I shouldn't play with my food but I couldn't help it with these little guys. after this we had dinner some duck with mushroom sauce thesome vegetables - really needed the veggies!!! Then a group of us went off to the local carnival. I though it was going to be a small carnival with a couple of rides but it was massive. The first thing we saw, Kim and I jumped on. It was a 50m free fall that turned into I bit of the superman ride. So we were loosely harnessed in and pulled up way high were I had to pull the cord to release us... I though I was going to die!! But it was amazing fun but having BUNGEY jumped this was slot scarier!!
After multiple rides, gelati and watching Steve on the claw having a massive freak out because he's afraid of heights... As much as we were laughing we thought to may die... He didn't so yay for that!!
After the fair it was to the bar and then to bed because tomorrow was our big day in Nice (pronounced Niece). This place is amazing!! Stunning!! The views are so pretty. If you want fantastic views and a beautiful beach (even though it is a pebble beach) here is where you'll find it. After some brief shopping I spend most the day laying in the sun by the water. We were then picked up and taken back to the CONTIKI village where we got ready to go to Monaco to go to Monte Carlo. The casino was stunning. Unfortunately we cant take photos in there because it is a casino but it was so pretty!! After an hour or two there were we had a few winners and losers we heading back to the village to the bar for a few quiet ones.
Today we are Florence bound, leaning tower of Pisa - yes please!! We are on the bus for 9 hours and to through 176 tunnels. Now that is slot of tunnels! We have done so much already on our tour and yet have so much still to see! It is however fullon and we are all exhausted and now a few others are getting sick while I'm finally getting a bit of my voice back. It's funny because we have all been together a week now and no one knows what my real voice sounds like.
Anyway time for a nap to rest my voice for some karaoke tonight!!
I love Europe!!!
JOJO XOXOXOXOXOX
PS having a blast but missing those I love back home!! Only 24 days to go!!!
