The kids were in desperate need of an outing, as we have been staying inside a lot more these days with the cooler temperatures and rain. We decided to take the metro to Times Square. None of us had ever been to this stop but we had heard there were lots of cool stores and sites over that way. It is about a 30 minute ride from our stop. As you can see in the pictures Sophia was offered some gold fish on the way. Seems to be reoccurring, where one of the kids takes interest in something that a fellow rider has and they inevitably offer it to them. Everyone we have come into contact with on the subway is very giving, we always get off with something we didn't come on with.
We got off and took a short walk to the main shopping area. We stopped at the CROC store and got Jack a pair of waterproof winter boots, which Sophia seems to enjoy more. It is now everyday she will strip down to just her diaper, her blanket, and Jack's boots. She says she is going on adventures, I guess she is.
We stumbled on an outdoor play area where the kids ran around for awhile which was fun. Then we decided to check out this place called Family Funland, or something, and it was like a big Fun Depot. So the kids rode some rides, did bumper cars, and played those video games where you win tickets to get prizes. This was followed by a visit to Toys-R-Us and then to the grocery for dinner.
It was a nice family day outing in Suzhou. We hope to have more of these soon.
