Hi all,

Welcome back to Taiping.

Tommorow is my last day in the zoo before I go to Borneo on the final week of my zoo experience. It has been so wonderfull to be in a town like Taiping since my stay here I have only seen 3 other westerners..white people..as we are away from the normal tourist towns. Taiping is a very chinese town so a lot of the food is of that area which is so good...although I have to admit I did give in the other day and had a Mcdonalds..I felt very bad after as when in rome...........Anyway I am now back to rice a and noodles.

The zoo has been very good and everyone has made us very welcome, I have been up close with most of the animals and even had a snake around my neck. I won,t go into deatails but a highlight was when a cow had been knocked down in the countryside and we were despatched to go and pick it up so that the zoo would have some free lion/tiger food. I helped in the process from start to finish.

On christmas day we are going to be in the jungle in Borneo, we are each going to get something to make it a bit special..I have been looking for some fairy lights that run on a battery but have so far failed. On new years day I wil be up a mountain.

Ww did have 4 days off from the zoo so went on "holiday" to and island off the coast near to Thailand and spent the time on the beech which was good.

It is very sad to say that we all got excited when we found out that there was a Tesco store nearto Taiping and all went just for a look. I ended up buying a bottle of australian red wine which is the fist wine I have had for weeks.. I even got a free glass with it..the rest all got a bottle of there favorite.

I will try and put some pics on when I am in Borneo.

If I do not get on here for a while I would like to wish you all a very happy and cold christmas and a good new year. For my readers from Bow I here that Mr Brown is still his happy self and full of encouragement.
