Day 11
Woke up early today, packed the trailer in the super cold windy drizzle of Idaho after breakfast. I wish the weather was better there because it could have been much much more fun, but their family there is a lot like mine, just bigger so it was fun. Rolled out early. The drive was amazing, once we got close to Montana the weather pretty much cleared up and the view in every direction was awesome. A little way into Montana we drove through a town that was completely covered in as much snow as Georgia got this winter (except it's June). I threw a snowball at Josh because I couldn't resist. At the gas station in that town we bought some ginger beer which sounds awesome but we haven't tried it yet. They also had what looked like a miniature school bus with tracks, sitting in the snow. I'm still getting used to everyone riding together in the truck, it's a tight fit with all our stuff but it's kind of cozy to have my own little vestibule with everything stacked around me. The landscape has been just ridiculously amazing with snow capped mountains and big lakes. We got here, Bigfork, Montana, at about 6 local time. Staying at this really awesome hotel that is owned by my mom's high school boyfriend. He is a giant and very nice, but unfortunately in Atlanta for family reasons, we kind of switched places... Anyway, the hotel is really awesome and we are the only people here in its six rooms. It overlooks a really nice bay and Bigfork is a really neat artsy town. We walked to and ate at an actually nice good quality restaurant called "Invite" right in downtown Bigfork. Now I'm sitting here in our room watching the Tony's. Going international tomorrow, that should be fun...
Breakfast: Toast and Banana
Lunch: French Toast, eggs, and sausage from a little restaurant called 4B
Dinner: Elk carpaccio with pomegranate reduction and a strong mustard on pita, Salmon with risotto and asparagus, pineapple and ginger creme brulee (interesting but good)
