Chang mai
Arrived in chang mai via the airport only cost 33 gbp to fly up. On the flight were the worst rude gob s***es i think from either france or costarica. Considering it was only an hour an 10 min flight we were provided with snacks. now if you dont like something you leave it. But no this idiot decided to have a go at the woman an give her the worst looks ever an then throw stuff back at her. When we landed there were loads of armed guards on the tarmack and there was an array of military personnel next to a plane. Apparently it was a member of the thai royal family but they wouldn't say who.
We got out the airport an someone had a sign waiting for someone called vaginahoover , well we were in stitches laughing. Reminded me of when me dad picked me up one time with a sign that said s*** head. We got a cab straight outside at the set price of 120 bht which is about 2.30 gbp. We stayed at the greentulip guest house which is run by stella an nina. We had a massive warm welcome when we arrived and had the nicest pad thai ever. We had a few beers in the communal area and arranged to go to the temple up the mountain and then to the tiger kingdom. We arranged this through the guest house and were driven around by one of the workers. The mountain temple had really nice views but to be honest not all that. We went to the tiger kingdom and paid 1260 bht, 24gbp to see the smallest then the small and the big tigers. Now while we waited for the smallest tigers we watched them play with everyone. As luck would have it when it was our turn to go in they were tired and started to sleep, could only happen to us. As after calling them for everything we got kicked out. The big tigers were massive and lucky for us 2 of them were either tired and couldn't be arsed or they were drugged. So after a spoon with the big tigers an lou getting kicked in the leg by one I had to drag lou away from knocking him out.
Around the corner from our guesthouse we found a lovely little park where people did yoga juggling rope walking and all kinds. We just bought a mat for 10bht, about 18p an laid an got a tan. In the park is a place to get a thai massage which for half an hour was 70bht, about 1.30 or for an hour 140bht,2.60 gbp. So lou decided to go over board and have one on a daily basis. Im sure one of the women said she was a lady boy an if so it was the 1st one we had seen. The massages were amazing an they crack ur back and dont hold back. And they told me my leg weighed about 5k an lous was 10k.
We walked around the city and the bars which normally sell the same beers at the same price. A large singa beers was 100bht about 2pound with chang being about 80bht, about 1.50.
Now ill mention lous mate fanny chmelar. Randomly sitting there lou asks if I have seen her on the chase. I swear watch that on you tube and Bradley Walsh is so funny on it we were crying laughing. We also met a few nice and some random people in the guest house namely svenya, even tho john got shouted at for calling her sven. We had looked on line and found the trekking for 1500 bht, which is about 30 pound. We booked it at the reception but it was advertised for 1800 bht but we got it f 1500. Now being the bright sparks that we are we decided go for a 2nd work out in the park doing a light jog and some weights, the night b4 we went trekking. Well there was a lot of walking up steep hills and and going along narrow paths and were were blowing out our arses. The waterfalls were good and we stayed in a little hut with a mosque net in the jungle. The food was quite nice and even had a decent toilet an not the little s***ty hole inthe ground. During the trek we got to ride elephants which was fantastice even tho John lost his flip flop 1st and then his glasses fell off into the river. We also did bamboo rafting where Louise decided that her leg could fit in between the bamboo sticks and now has a multi coloured leg. After trekking we headed back the guest house shere we left our bags and nina the hard faced cow continued to call me old man, egged on by louise. After 7 nights in chang mai we said tara to the guest house and to nina shouting come on fat boy lets go, the cheeky cow im pleasantly plump. We booked the 10 hour vip bus to Bangkok for 800bht, about 16gpb. Now if you book this go to the train station days b4 because a few say they are vip but this one had massive seats which reclined and had a tele in the seat in front. We shared a cab the train station with Aimee, some american woman who was staying at the same guest house. Now she was one out spoken woman. Now she is the type of person who has seen it and done it. Now off to bangkok we went.
