Well this is my 1st blog type thing so lets see how it goes. Me an our lou set off from manchester uk to dubai on 17th january 2014. Dubai is an amazing place. Very clean an looks very rich. Comin out of the airport we got a taxi straight away an cost us 60 dirham which is about 10 pound. We stayed at le meridien hotel which was quite a nice hotel however the hard faced gets charge you to use the internet. But if you can wait till you get to the dubai mall its free. We went to sleep after we got to dubai as we had an early start the next day. When we got up we went to the smaller mall deira mall to get on the big bus tour of dubai. We had our cameras at the ready an looked like propper tourists. This is the best was to see dubai and learn about the development of dubai. On the bus we got to see burj hotel, which is the d shaped one, the atlantis palm hotel, palm islands where loads of celebs have places and the burj khalifa tower which was the largest building in the world. The tour cost 36gbp each and was worth it. You can hop on an off the bus during the tour. We finished at dubai mall which is asbig as 50 footy pitches an saw the fountain display which was nice. We got the metro back which is cheap an easy to use. After a long day we just went to bed saving the drinking till Thailand. On our last full day we went up the burj khalifa tower. We booked this b4 we left the uk as it sells out quickly this cost about 22 pound. The tower tour was very informative and when u realise how its built u are amazed. After the tower we met up with my mate jane who lives out here. Apparently if u want to buy ale to take home you have to have a licence. After lunch and a cheeky cheese cake factory visit we did a bit of browsing an saw the ice skating rink which is amazing. The mall is truly fantastic an wipes the floor with the Trafford centre. It has a massive aquarium with sharks an everything. Dubai is currently building a theme park type place which will apparently be bigger that Disney in florida by double the size. Dubai is alovely place an can be done on a budget.
