Hey hey,
so we have been in Buenos Aires for a week now, and it has got to be one of te most amazing cities we have ever been to! you cannot walk for longer than 5 minutes without seeing a stunning building, picturesque park or an amazing row of shops! The steak is AWESOME!
we arrived and checked into our ´party hostel´, and immediately the drama began! after booking and reconfirming through email, we arrived to find that we did not have a bed for the night!!! disaster!
however, after making a fuss they managed to put us on a matress in the dorm room we should have stayed in. happy with the result we went out to have a fat steak and a bottle of wine.. only to come back to find that we were bedless... again! the stupid guy on reception, who was definately drunk, had given our matress on the floor to some other random people! what a joke! very angry (and a bit tipsy) we managed to eventually sort it out. but yea, not a good start eh?
The hostel was an amazing place to meet people and have a drink and good time, especially considering Fran met her mate from home called schof, and i met Listers (my mate from home) best mate from uni (benj). incredible after just one day! to more suprise, lisa and chris checked into our hostel the very next day! small world!
to celebrate we went to the hostel BBQ, all u can eat and drink for 30 pesos, 5 pounds! amazing! the pics tell the story better than words, but we had 9 people playing ring of fire and getting hammered.... with red wine being the poison!! big school boy error! but a good one as well, the night was amazing!
after spending hurendous amounts of money we decided it was time to crash at Patricia´s (amazing) student flat, and have a bit of quiet time to see the city properly without a hangover!
but yea, yesterday, big houe party, more wine, beer and spirit... and ring of fire... and another hangover! however, the zoo was so beltin it made up or it! although when we head to Puerto Madryn we will be seeing the animals in the wild.
tomorrow, 10/3/08 we head to iguazu falls, the most amaing waterfall in south america after angel falls. the photos from this trip should be epic! and hopefully it will be a far less entertaining blog entry as the accomodation will run smoothly this time... the hostel has a pool, beltin!
