We decided to take the ferry to Uruguay. From BA, it takes only an hour and you're in Colonia del Sacramento. (to Montevideo it's about three hours and to Punta del Este about five). We love Buenos Aires! The area of Palermo is absolutely our favourite, but we walked extensively in the last 2 days and also explored 'Recoleta', the central areas 'San Nicolas' and 'Monserrat', the harbour area called 'Puerto Madero' and edgy 'La Boca'.
