After a 6-hour drive from our Torres del Paine lodge we arrive in Punta Arenas, the southernmost point of our trip.
We had no idea about the recent significant flood in the town and the receding waters had left thick mud and silt everywhere. Not the most attractive first impression...
Still, the hotel was simple but sweet, and the lovely owners recommended us a cosy restaurant where we had some great seafood.
After a delicious breakfast in the hotel the next morning, we went to the airport to get our 3-hour flight up the Chilean coast to the capital, Santiago de Chile.
