First of all sorry it has taken so long to blog anything but at the resort it costs $10 for us to get online which we only have for 24 hours so after early mornings and coming back to our Disney resort late it is not worth the money, but finally we didn't have anything on this night.
Today was our Discovery Cove experience and what a freakin awesome experience it was. This was my first time snorkeling and I thought it would be easy, which after a while it got easier but at first it was hard. It is unnatural to be underwater breathing so that freaked me out a bit, and then of course the first lagoon I tried snorkeling was with the rays so I guess that didn't help. Anyway Discovery Cove is 30 acres park made up of a lot of lagoons which you can swim in all day. One lagoon had rays, one was a huge coral reef with rays and fish swimming around, another was a waterway around the park with waterfalls. Everything for the day was included in the admission so breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks all day, wetsuits were included also snorkels and goggles. We included a dolphin swim and oh my god it was the best. They have the dolphins come up to you so you can touch them (we were lucky to meet 3 dolphins today), they feel like wet leather, then everyone got to kiss the dolphin and then one at a time they take you out to the deep end and you grab hold of their flipper and fin and they swim you back to shore.
Pretty much the rest of the day is spent snorkeling around the different lagoons. It is a quite expensive park but it is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities and I will always remember that day. To be honest I really don't know what to say about this day, it was the most exciting, dream come true day I have ever had. The park took some awesome pictures and we also bought the DVD of our experience so I would love to show you guys when we get back.
So after a full day of sun, sand, swimming and dolphins where do you go after that. Well if your Jo-Anne and Andrew you go to Universal Studios Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights. This was our first taste of Halloween and it was great. The park is darkened, there are 7 haunted houses to walk through, some rides are open but one of the best things is the themed streets. You walk down with smoke around you, actors dressed up in costume scaring you, spooky music, it was great. If I get the chance to upload them, please check out the pictures.
