We left Ushuaia on the 20th. Crossed back over the border with the ferry crossing. Stopped for lunch at the same service station that had provided us with shelter a few nights earlier, drove the coast a bit before stopping at a ghost town for a night under canvas. It was sunny and not overtly cold but a terrific wind picked up as the night drew on. When I say ghost town, it was exactly that. The beach was lined with the wreckage of two huge cargo ships and the town conisted of a collection of about 20 buildings that had been deserted for at least some decades. We put up camp had some dinner and then went on ghost tour of this town with ourselves as the guides, and our torches and the moonlight the only thing seperating us from total darkness. Fortunately we didnt experience anything supernatural and we awoke safely the next morning. Though our tent did nearly end up in the pacific due to the strong winds which kept me away most of the night.
This morning (almost completely up to date now), we visited a penguin colony not far from Punta Arenas. It was fun I guess, but it was ultimately a penguin colony, and I had about 3 hours sleep the ngiht before so I didnt ever really warm to the idea. We arrived in Punta Arenas a few hours later in the early afternoon, had some lunch, changed some money into Chilean Pesos and then went to an internet cafe........

We are spending the next few days in the Torres Del Paine National Park, and so we probably wont update this for a week or so.
