Day 15-
Up super early once again to check out and make use of the free brekfast, nice to finally get some cereal and toast finally! Got the hotel shuttle to the airport and chilled out for a bit. Emms bag was 24 kg even with the new check in bag we bought so may need another bag haha, found out we can pretty much take two 23kg bags every time we fly so will invest in that! The flight was delayed an hour but finally got there, random but a patient that I was treating a few months ago works for Qantas and took our flight details ages ago she said she was gonna hook us up, well she didn't but a random guy did come up to us saying that this lady told him to come say hi and to look after us haha, was nice. After we picked up our luggage we made our way to the taxi stand where there was a big line, then so weird but these two massive black guys rushed up to us and were like, you guys after a taxi? Grabbed our bags and took us away from the cab line, threw them in the back of this flash Lexus like lookin car and were like $175.00 no extra charges! I said get f***ed and he threw our bags on the ground haha, back to the cab line and $50.00 we got to hotel, crazy busiest traffic I've ever seen, the cabs ignore ALL road rules, drive up footpaths and highway shoulders and just push in everywhere. We checked in with Tara and Tim at hotel pretty cosy two beds in one room, and then went and checked out the lights of Times Square. Was pissing down so ducked into an Irish pub for dinner and beers!

Day 16-
Had a great day day despite the lousy weather still! Got up and had breakfast had random little bakery, then made tracks for battery point on the southern tip of manhattan island. Had our first trip to the underground subways and jumped on the trains, they go super fast and pretty confusing. We walked down to the Brooklyn bridge, and up to the stock exchange and wall st, then round to the ferrys over to the Statue of Liberty, which we couldn't see from the shore due to the fog and mist. We got tickets for the 1 hour cruise round the statue and Ellis Island, got pretty good views by the time we got out there. After the ferry we caught the trains back to the hotel. For dinner we made our way to Little Italy to an awesome wee restaurant there, great area. Had a good meal there then headed back to the hotel. Plan for tomorrow to head up state of empire building and the 9/11 memorial!

Day 17-
Well what an eventful day, strap yaselves in. So got up and made way straight for what our favourite review site "Yelp" told us was the best Bagels and Coffee in our area of New York! It had great ratings but wow wee what a nightmare, horrible service, Emm didn't even get what she ordered, and they put a good 1 and a half inches of cream cheese in them, bad time to realise you've never tried cream cheese before and actually don't like it! So after some good arguments we got the subway uptown to the Empire State Building. When we got there there were huge lines, and it was pissing down and cold so figured there be heaps of people there but actually got through real quick. There were about 7 different stops and checks, including a full on metal detector and X-ray machine like airports! After seeing some big arse views from up top we caught the subway downtown to pick up our 9/11 memorial tickets. This was easily one of the most moving and crazy things I've ever seen, they had the same handout security lines and metal detectors, plus heapsa cops with machine guns everywhere. Where the original two towers were are two huge water features that are massive wells/holes in the ground with every casualty of sep 11 names around the border. Quite emotional. After that we made way to grand central station where serena van der woodsen started gossip girl at. Quick stop at a pub and another cheeky arguement we picked up tickets to the Broadway show, Wicked. Was pretty awesome spectacle but didn't expect quite the amount of singing. Enjoyable none the less and ticked that off the bucket list. Back home at hotel now, the special gals bday tomorrow so big day planned!

Day 18-
EMMA'S 26th Birthday!! Went out for a pretty flash breakfast near Times Square. From there treated Emm to look around the NHL store which she just loved, especially cause I bought heaps there, including some sweet penguins shoes. From there we walked up to Niketown a big 5 story Nike shop. Walked past the Rockefeller centre and the big Lego shop out front of the famous Xmas tree. We then caught the Subway to Greenwich village for lunch and the girls could do some shopping, while me and Tim sat at a sweet sports bar called SNAP. Back to the subway another time to head back to the hotel, but the girls did some more shopping, surprise surprise. Me and Tim then met back up with the girls who remarkably were yet to buy anything in New York City, and made our way to Central Park. For Emms birthday I had booked us all on a horse and carriage tour of Central Park for an hour with a dozen roses on arrival, good b******, but on the way we got an extra special treat. 1 block away from Central Park there was a massive police cordon with tens of news vans surrounding the area, apparently in the middle of the day a bloke walked right up behind another bloke and shot him in the back of the head, got in his drive away car, and disappeared, hundreds of witness but no one seen him, only in the big apple! After that excitement the horse ride was great, seen the fountain they filmed the start of the show "friends" in, then went out for some dinner! Great day all round, off to Montreal in the morning!
