So Wednesday, Emma and I went to the massive Zakopane markets to look at the local offerings. Upon arrival to the market, we were confronted by literally dozens of stalls of the local cheese with women shouting polish at us, most probably trying to entice us to try the cheese (but who knows?!) anyway, I love this local cheese, so I had some with cranberry on it.
We then walked past a strange pug like dog that looked a bit agitated, so we stood and admired its long soft coat, before a drunk old polish man ran up to it with a pint of okocim in his hand waved his foot at the dog shouting 'dobry' (hello). The dog didn't look too impressed and started growling and grabbing the man's trousers. It was actually very funny but probably one of those 'you had to be there moments!'.
Half of this blog went missing in the transfer so I'm not sure what we did the next couple of days! We did however go up Kasprowy mountain where it was very cold but also very sunny! Emma was quite scared about falling off the edge even though there was plenty of walking room! We had an amazing view of Poland on one side and Slovakia on the other and we literally had one foot in each country! We got a weird photo of me where it looks like I have an illuminated heart, and we took some other posey ones. That's all we can remember, I'm sure we spent the rest of the day eating and drinking okocim!
Do widzenia for now!
