God so much has happened since I last was on this, have tried loads to update but had problems getting access and crashed computers.
Well I have now moved on twice since Dehi, the hell hole of eart I hate that place nwever ever want to return if i can help it. Never been anywhere so dreadful on earth. Full of con artists you have rickshaw men constant hassling you, and also indians who claim quote, " I no sel anything, I just walk with you. You want tourist centre". They walk with you for miles and I mean miles they try to direct you to fake tourist info centres. Very difficult to find proper places to go cos yopu have onstanmt crowds around you and following you. We are like sheep and they sheep dog. A total nightmare. i tell you if anyone needs an assertiveness course they should be senmt to Delhi yu very quickly get this technique. NO NO NO!
In the morning of 2nd day. I hated Delhi and INdia i had a touch of Delhi belly, hotel and what I had seen a shell hole. The stench was unbelievavble. For yuou to understand me what it was like you realy need to expwerience it.
In the afternoon we gave uip trying to do things ourselves and paid a rickshaw to take us around. y perception changed of india I actually began to like. This gave was great took us lots f cool places and didn't con or try to take us to shops where he would get commission. We went to places many toyrists would not see. was fanttasttic.
Next day me and andy decuided enough was enough. I needed air to breathe. We caught a 6 am bus to Agra. Took about 6 hours. we had the best hotel you could ever imagine in Agra our room looked onto the Taj Mahal not even any 5 star hotels had tthe view we had. This room was much better, we were on the rooftop nice a bit cleaner wuith shower and V. Spent two days in Agra. However left early as a rickshaw dfriver decided to latch himsel;f onto us and wanted to be our friend wouldn't leave us a klone. said he was no con artist but he really was.Ruined our time there.
When in Agra, you are not goping to believe this but I went to an UIndian wedding. We saw a wedding happening in a buklding in the village, watched from outside met some german girls and a guy from switzerland. they said that at ten o'clock they had been invited to the wedding by a family member who had seen them watch outside so I joined them. We went in and danced with guests to craxzy music and lots of crazy dance moves. Very weird. Ate lots of food and were ushered onto stage for family photographs. out of this world, everyone was delighted we were at wedding and couldn't done more to welcome us and let us shate the occassion. TYhey videoed us. Totally totally amazing.
andy and I then went next day touristy things taj Mashal. Again out of this world, hired this tour guy who was first class. What abuilding. Then wnt to Baby Taj and Agra Fort.
Met some really nice people in Agra. I really liked the guys at the hotel were lovely if i ghave time I will go back might ned to pass through again. Was just amazing at night sitting on balcony looking at Taj Mahal just right there. Not as busy as Delhi not as much hassle and felt safer. india I begin to like but is a stressful place to travel./
we are now in jaiper, travelled yesterday all day on a local bus. this was an experience we got ruickshaw to this place where you get bus, full of poverty not nice. again the stench lots of people selling leather sooles and things to get stiched to make shoes humans sprawled everywehere. Very long bus journey, i slepy most of way but my eyes were stinging with fumes and air pollution Very sore.
We are now i jaiper, met Jilly on bus and have met a few english people and some Irish nice. We have managed to get a fantastic hotel, Andy was fab at batgaining. It's brilliant, clean with sheets and has a showetr and hot water much nicer than some of the b and b's i have stayed in Engl;and. we have decided to stay here three nights cos nice. we have a room between us for about 3 pound a night. Great. Cheaper to share.
Met jilly from York. Today the three of us have just spent some time wandering around been nice a big city but people here understand the word no!Tonight we are going to see a Hindu film at movies and oh nearly forgot I had a Macd's milkshake today. He he! In india.
Scariest experence so far - in Delhi we got a bit lost when waling found ourselves in ana area where we didn't know where we were. Sort of hid at side of road to look ast lonely planetr and before we knew it as rickshaw man approached us. "very dangerous area. You take rickshaw. tyehn when we looked up we were surrounded by Indian men from al directions they were coming.l I said " qucik Andy move move now and we waled very quickly away.A bit scarey don't think we were in any danger reckon they d that to get you to rickshaw did not like though.
We ll must go, i miss you all.
