We arrived in Nha Trang at 5am on the night train. Fortunately, we got our rooms at the hotel even though we were so early. After a little rest, we took a walk down to the beautiful beach and had iced coffees.
I layed by the beach all day. I slept, swam and read my new book "the beach".
After a wonderful day of pure relaxation, Morgan and I went for a traditional Vietnamese massage. It wasn't all that different from the massages I get back home. Some things were a bit rougher though. They don't try to cover you either. They put Morgan and I in the same room and barely covered us at all.
I love it here in Nha Trang. I would like to stay in this town for a few more weeks. It is such a calming beach town. I fell safe and love just walking around and doing whatever I feel like doing.
For dinner we went to a local restaurant. They gave us little fires with grills and we BBQ our own food. They brought out raw squid, prawns, chicken beef and vegetables to grill. Then on the side there was garlic rice and spring rolls. It was fun cooking our own meal.
After dinner we headed to the sailing club which is a posh beach bar. We sat by the fire and I fell asleep in a bean bag chair. After a nap we hit the dance floor. We stayed there for a bit then checked out the "why not?" bar. It was a good backpackers crowd. There is no last call here. We stayed until 330 and the drinks, music and dancing were still going after we left. I am dreading the morning because I have a scuba trip pre booked and paid for 7am.
