Hi everyone,
We are in Kampala now after a wet and wild adventure so far!
We arrived okay and spent the first couple of days in Nairobi. The hotel was alright but there was nothing much to do in the city. We went to the Giraffe Sanctuary, which was great. We got to feed the Giraffes and took cool pics of them up close, they are awesome.
Then the safari started and it has been good so far but sometimes a little testing.
The first night we bush camped in Nakuru National park and any animals could come into our camp which was great but scary at the thought of a night visitor. When we arrived it was pissing down with rain and we had to set up the camp and then all the stuff was wet but it was cool. We were told not to get out of the tent in the night in case there were any animals in the camp. The next day we went on a game drive. It was amazing. We saw so many beautiful animals. It is unreal. We didn't see ant Lions but we saw Baboons,Zebra and 14 Rhino.
We are now in Uganda and will do the Gorilla trek in the next couple of days.
The camp site is cool and last night was a couple of guys birthdays so we all got wrecked so are relaxing today. It was a great night but are suffering a bit today. We saw our friend Rachel in the same camp site in the bar. How random. We will meet her in Cape Town. we got to bed , in the baking hot tent at 4 this morning and then at 9 i had to get up cos I am on cooking duty today and the girl I'm with, Em, couldn't get up so she sent her boyfriend to help and he was still drunk. It was so funny. There are 5 of us that get on good so are having fun.
There are only 8 on our truck and we will lose 2 ina couple of weeks and gain 4 and then we cange trucks at Vic Falls.
It has been so good to see everyhting and it is an amazing place,so different. Can't wait to see more.
I will update again soon,
The internet is pretty slow and I have 15mins free now.
I haven't opened any emails but I will,
Love to all,
Jo x
