We were advised to visit Noosa by Emma and Scott. Since then we had also heard lots of good things about the place and we were keen to see it for ourselves. We only had a short stay in Brisbane and our first day there we went into the centre of the town and visited the Museum of Brisbane which was located in the City Hall building and we were also able to go up into the clock tower which gave us a nice view of downtown Brisbane. Although many people told us not to bother with Surfer's Paradise, we decided to stop here anyhow and took a day trip to Sea World. This was the highlight of Surfers Paradise for us, and was a really fun day. We got to see Polar bears which were so lovely and ended up having to buy the cutest little polar bear cuddly toy as I couldn't resisit it. We only stayed in Byron Bay for one night and we really could have stayed longer. It had such beautiful beaches and some amazing views. On our day there we took a walk up to the eastern most point of the east coast and up to the famous lighthouse. We where really lucky to see dolphins swimming in the sea not far from the coast - nic was amazed to see dolphins in the wild. After leaving Emma and Scott we headed north to a small town called Port Macquarie. Our main reason for stopping here was to take a day trip out to 'Timbertown', a small 1900's style town taking us back in history to what it would have looked like during that time.
