We made it to Washington. And you will all pleased to know confused lady managed to get another ticket. The rest of the journey was relatively uneventful and we arrived at our hotel early this morning. Having managed to scrounge free breakfast from the hotel we wandered into the city to see some of the sights. Our first obstacle being the metro... No probs! Found a map and on our way. So today we have seen the Washington monument, the white house and a couple of the other memorials. Slight eye sores as there is a lot of construction going on it seems... Even around the white house? We got our photos regardless. No sign of Obama unfortunately. We've not been too keen on the cold! Having to get our jeans and jumpers out today brrrr!
