We eventually booked tickets the night before to the grand canyon, after rushing around for a few hours looking for a cash point, with the distraction of a few shops as well, we made it back about 10 minutes before they where going to close. Off we go! We drove past the Hoover dam on the way there, it's very impressive you can see how much the water level has gone down over the years. The grand canyon! Well we survived the bus journey, which ended up to be about 2 days an 9 hours of travel. It did go rather quickly but it is rather worrying how easy it was to waste that length of time sitting on a bus. We must have had the oldest buses going, no wifi or plug sockets the greyhound service is definitely better in Florida and along the east coast.
