We decided to just head to the beach town of Hua Hin to catch some sun. It is the beach city that the locals go to by bus or mini bus as it is only 2.5 hours south of Bangkok.
It was lovely, but there was a typhoon in the Philippines that affected the weather all over Asia. So the first g'day was cloudy - BUT that did not affect the rays as both of is turned quite pink while reading by the pool! We went to the night market and were astounded by the huge amount of seafood being grilled, fried, poached, and steamed!
prices were very good and Terry and I tried prawns, his onion rings and spring rolls with a terrific Banana shake allfair 2.00! Then we tried a grilled red
Snapper which was also quite good. finished the night with a delicious massage for an unbelievable $10.00!
The next day was beautiful and we had a great day relaxing by the pool, reading and then going to the beach. They have small beautiful horses on the beach which were being rented out. Tempting... it is the low season here so there were not too many people on the beach. we then had supper at a great restaurant recommended on trip advisor- Moon Smiley and Platoo! Terrific sizzling hot plates. We then rented a motorbike (from the hotel bar waitress' friend. She worked as a hair stylist and drove over to the hotel and Terry drove back to work!). We has fun with the motorbike, but did get a little lost- but that is all part of the Fun!
Tomorrow we're Off to Bangkok where we fly to Saigon!

Colette Glad you took time for some rest and relaxation, some sun and reading! Are you starting to miss home? 6 weeks is a long time to be off galavanting or it is flying right by?
