If you enjoyed the Cherry Blossoms in Japan, maybe I can talk you into going down to DC for the festival next April and running the 10 miler.
How awful was the smell in the fish market and did you take any of it back on the ship?

a) Kevin, commonality is definitely seeing how broken/fallen our world is. Culture definitely shapes these countries. It's been quite eye opening to experience and see how "America" is perceived...vietnam was especially fascinating.
b) Erin, i got your card! thanks for finding me in the world =)
c) Check it out, just posted two blogs and new pics
Thanks for reading and commenting!

Hi Friend,
I enjoyed your blog entry from Vietnam, very interesting. ACPA just wrapped up down at the National Harbor. Although I didn't officially attend it was great to catch up with folks! Be well :)

Cha-man,
As you are traveling the globe, are there any distinct commonalities among the people you are meeting? Do you think the culture is the primary shaper of the people? What do the people think of America and the situation that we are in? Just a few thoughts as I looked over the photos this week.
Your Brotha from anotha motha,

just got back from China! VERY cool. if you get to do the great wall i suggest you do the hard, STEEP (possibly 45 deg incline), path .. so worth it.. also dont be too surprised when you're gasping for air while the 90 year old man is barely breaking a sweat while he's strolling up the path. my sibs and i decided to do that path and i have to say we might've embarrassed america.
when do you go to china? what cities are you going to?

That's a nice looking cable stayed bridge. Worked on one in South Carolina back in 2002. Looks like Vietnam has seen an infrastructure boom the last few years (much like China & India).
Hey, don't sweat over the blog and pics. Just do what you can.

I'm in Day 2 of 2 sailing from Saigon to Hong Kong. I'm strugglin a bit to motivate to organize pics, and blog. A bit physically tired and a lot of thinking. Some good processing going on especially w/ some of the asian students. Hopefully i'll have the vietnam post up today.
btw...I got your card J.Beeson. I appreciate the love!!
Thanks for the posts....Thinking of you all back home!
