HI Ian! Just enjoyed looking at your latest batches of photos. Aren't you brown? The climate must be doing you good!! Have you any work yet? I know that's probably what you don't want to think too much about, but it does put food on the table!! Keep enjoying your adventure anyway. Love as always N & P xxx

Hey All,
Can't wait for marmite to arrive haha, it's not good out here and jimmy has even been trying to get me and ian to start eating vegemite? Vegemite? Whats going on with that!? Also can't wait for new boots to arrive as they will have real studs which are so much better than blades. Especially for one thing. Don't worry mums the coach journey was fine, not as lonng as my OP one, and the lager isn't half as strong so it was sweet, learning all the songs they sing is great, and sticking your tongue out very frequently is rather amusing. Oh yes, and we did play a match as well. Me and Ian played for the colts and we lost by 3 tries i think, but did well. According to reports we were both dominating people haha, the opposition were quite small though and didnt like the rough around the edges part that we bring. Jimmy played for the prems team and they won by 50 points, played well and was as quick as ever. I also played 15 minutes for the prems as well, a lot of rugby in one day, and the result the next day was 3 very aching bodies, and 3 very sore heads, fantastic.
If Brinky reads this, 7 days to go Hoo-Raa!
Thanks for all the comments

alright james
Got home from my match like an hour ago and i am on tinternet so i thought i would write you a comment, tell you how it went. We won 14-9. Not a very good game to watch, very stop-start and lots of mistakes. But a wins a win. The most exciting news is that i had to go off after 10 minutes cos of blood injury, hahahaha. Some French tw*t tackled me with his boots and left a gash about 1 inch long and 1cm deep in my shin, it was the most disgusting thing i have ever seen. I had to go and get a local anaesthetic and then they stitched it up, 5 stitches. And then cos i am A-R-D (hard) i came back on and played the rest of the game. But it is aching a bit now. Anyway hope all is well

Shot myself in the foot today when I thought it would be funny to send you half of the chocolate I'd got you for Easter (Gem&I couldn't resist it one evening ~ thought sending the wrappers would remind you of home), a pot of squeezy marmite, endless playstation games and the biggest pair of rugby boots I've ever seen: then sellotaped it in the same way you attached a poor 6th former to his chair at breaktime last year .....and had to spend £44 on stamps.....cheaper to have put flippers on your boots and attached Sat Nav. Couldn't find the mostimportantever p'station game, but found some interesting literature instead which had nothing to do with drinking beer or playing rugby. Just finished reports, but everything STILL manic. VERY worried about your coach trip. I'll never forget the night Gem&I had to check you were still alive every hour after your 1st team initiation at OPats, and the worrying "Bite me" you said every time you opened your eyes, + the terrifyingly polite "Would you like me to go out of the door or the window....?" You can hardly fit through the DOOR of the Mg... PLEASE be careful! Look after each other, boys. NEVER going to phone you when you're happy again ~ costs me a fortune! Best time is to wake you up ......Luvuloads:missinuhugely Mxx

Good luck in your first match on Saturday, Ian, hope your bubble-wrap works!
Mum, Dad And Chris
Great to get the message as always and wonderful news about the matches - hope all goes well. We'll certainly be thinking about you. Have just had a 'phone call from Karin who arrives tomorrow, it will be lovely to see her. They've had snow in Munich but she's promised to bring fine weather with her. As the first day of Spring, today has been quite sunny here but there's still a bitter wind....
Looks like you've got a little way to travel for your match so I'm sure you will have a laugh on the journey. We look forward to hearing all about it! TAKE CARE!!! lots of love as always xxxx

Hi Ian! Good Luck for Saturday - glad you will be protecting your shoulder.Hope you all win well and enjoy the trip. Is there any other casual work other than the dreaded apples? Love as always N & P xxx
The Boys
Hey everyone,
still no apples! So it has now been 2 and a half weeks since we have worked, and we don't know when we're going back again. Jimmy and Will are both playing for the prems on Saturday, Me, myself am playing for the colts its going to be so good to get back into it although i do feel like im wrapped in bubble wrap in my new pads but i'm sure i'll get used to it. We're travelling down to Palmerston North, so a bus journey is on the cards, and we all know what happens when rugby and a bus journey get mixed together...! Can't believe the county lost again, we were looking so promising, gutting, but we're all hoping Stroud do really well. Keep all the news and messages coming.
Hope everyone is well
The boys xx
Brinky

Well done the Pirates! Big cheers all round from the UK! Just remember before your next match(es) - no antics a la Flintoff! Nobody wants the embarrassment of being drunk in charge of a pedalo... I'm guessing that you probably don't have to wear eyepatches, parrots, wooden legs and hooks in order to play...?
Has been an.. interesting weekend (Mothering Sunday of course, hope you remembered to be extra-sweet boys) - lots of wind and hail yesterday - and SNOW!! More snow this morning but not enough to get truly excited about (not enough for a snowman) although in the remote wastes of Nympsfield it could be a different matter of course!
The UK entry for Eurovision was chosen at the weekend - a truly gruesome thing, four grinning lunatics dressed up as air hostesses and doing aeroplane-y things with their arms... Well up to our usual standard in fact - so embarrassing! No wonder we have no Euro-cool. No-one will vote for us anyway because no-one likes us any more, so I don't really know why we bother to enter!
Comic Relief finally over - thank Heaven! What with their version of Fame Academy, the Apprentice and.. too many other things to mention, it has been relentless. I should think the nation's phones are totally overloaded with all the 'ring in and answer an obvious question/vote someone out' stuff going on - big investigation into overcharging for such calls and big money-making scams... Have they only just realised?!?!
Well that's my fascinating round-up of the world news (!) for the day - bet you have been dying to know all that!
Cheery-bye, back soon, take care and have fun but not too much (see comment re Freddy!) J/GM xxx
