Guinness-flavoured Marmite - that's what I'm sending! I like it anyway... Not sure about Marmite-filled chocs but they do say that Cadbury's choc fingers dipped in it is good... Haven't had the nerve to try it!
Mum, Dad And Chris
All this talk of Marmite has prompted me to mention that there is a chocolatier in London who has made Marmite-centred chocolates. If the chocolate in NZ isn't tasty these might fulfil a need! Dad has spotted Marmite with Guiness which also sounds good.... As he comes from that percentage of the population which doesn't like the savoury ambrosia, it may be a means of converting him!
Hope the apple picking is going well. Lots of love xxx

Thanks Jane!!

BTW, FAO Mrs Thomas and Y6 -
enjoy yourself= have fun, have a good time, have a ball, make merry, whoop it up, revel, groove (!)
enjoy= take pleasure in, get pleasure from, like, benefit from, revel in, relish, make the most of, glory in, savour, indulge in, appreciate, take advantage of

Quelle coincidence! I am eating Marmite sandwiches for my lunch! I also have an extra-special jar to send you for Easter, had better get parcel in post quickly before the postage rates go up next week. Looks like you will be well-stocked for Marmite so you won't need to do any shopping for a while!
What mad photos! Hope we are going to get one of all three of you in your Pirates strip. Ian you look really brown and exotic! Shame the apples aren't reacting to the sun in the same way. Glad you had good matches, better luck next time Colts, hope you could hear us cheering you on across the water.

Hi james,
Great to see new photos - even the coach ones! Great score for your first game with the prems. Good day for us yesterday watching Charlie. Grandma and Grandad, and the Barratts came to watch the game too. It was absolutely freezing, and Charlie had given strict orders that Dad wasn't to wear his bright yellow ski jacket, and I wasn't to wear his big red and grey ski jacket, so we both froze! Charlie limping today but taking advantage of the Doc's advice to rest up-no washing up duties, and nearly read an entire Wilbur Smith. Dad and Charlie gone to the cinema to watch "300" tonight. Worked in the garden just about all day - Dad looking like he's been dragged through a thorn bush. Not sure how Stroud did yesterday, they brought in someone good to replace josh. Hope there's more work on the horizon, otherwise you'll only be able to afford marmite/vegemite sandwiches! take care and lots of love from us all X
Mum, Dad And Chris
Hi Boys,
Great photos - it's so nice to see the people that you've met and that you're enjoying yourselves. Hope you enjoyed the action on the field as much as you seem to have enjoyed it off the field......(Rather too many 'enjoyed' there - would not do in the SATs and I'd certainly have a word with the Y6's if they'd written it, but when it comes down to it, that's what we really hope you are doing.)
Chris had the County Cup quarters today - beat Cinderford and Painswick lost to Cheltenham As and drew with Stow so that means a re-match before the semis next week. Minchinhampton not in the competition as the U11's team has folded. Trouble with parents I believe!! (Surely not!) He's at Ninjitsu at the moment so I imagine he'll be shattered by tonight. He had to build a Ferris Wheel in the K'nex challenge so he was quite happy. He's still missing his brother though!
We went to Cheltenham yesterday and dropped in on Jenny and Joe - their flat is lovely and they had Hob Nobs! They're really handy for the town centre and have a huge balcony and lots of hi-tech gadgets. It was great to see them. They were off to watch the Rugby (Glos won). Joe was saying that Jack is off to Hong Kong playing for England in the Sevens and then on to Adelaide.
Gramp took me and Karin on a tour of the Cotswolds this afternoon. We had a cream tea in Stow and roast lunch in a typical pub which I think she appreciated.
Really missed you last night because we had Chinese and I was just about to say 'Ian will finish it off when he gets home'.......
Best do some work now, love to all. xxxx
Mag
Hi Ian and everyone. Enjoyed looking at your pictures. Hope you are all well and happy even without marmite! I have been speaking to Ben today and I thought of you-he was standing outside a club in Sydney and he commented on the cockroaches that were everywhere-he hates them-he says they are common in the whole area inside and outside buildings-so you are not alone!
Alan had to go to NY this weekend for a trade show so I am having a quiet time-lots of dog walks. The clocks went forward last night-so we have light nights which is great.
Good luck with your matches and keep enjoying yourself-xxxxx

hey guys, just been reading a few messages to catch up on what you've been upto, is it good to be playing some good rugby now? im so jealous cos we've just finished playing here, and its a bit of an effort to join a club now. i got really confused by all this mention of a guy called ian? i started thinking who else mite have gone with you, or maybe you picked up someone on the way, but no, i was just being stupid - sorry roly! ive got a pretty big decision to make, do i want to play sevens? if i decide i do, its going to be hard work to get massive and fit but could be fun. hmm. will be going on tour with uni on april 9th to 15th down to rimini in italy, sounds fun but its a 28 hour coach journey each way, and im a fresher!! it should be cool tho cos all the sports teams from brunel are going as well as quite a few other uni's, so theres going to be a lot of students floating about! its not just an excuse to get drunk tho, theres actually a 15s and a 7s tournament so will have to play at some point, which is a shame lol. will be heading home for easter on thurs (dont know if i mentioned that before, prob did). will be fun to be back, but will still be missing you guys.
