Slow start to the day then off to Starbucks for a coffee! Wandered around Asakusa - Senso-ji Temple - way more crowded than last night!! Ate our way down the main shopping street - gooey brown things rolled on a stick.... maybe bean paste biscuits ... vanilla ice cream burger was very good!!
Next we took the subway to Meiji-jingu Shinto temple - its just beautiful here - a patch of green parklands in a big busy city. Doesn't seem to matter where we go - Erika was once again modeling for a keen cameraman who loved her hair!!! He had her posing ... so funny!!! Onto Harakuku we the dress sense of the teenagers knows no boundaries!!! Hilarious!!! Next was Shibuya and the famous crossing!! We sat in Starbucks watching it for awhile - can u believe you aren't allowed to take photos from there anymore - I seemed to have difficulty understanding that and snapped a couple!!!!
Wandered around a bit then went to the l'Ocitane cafe above the crossing and had a cocktail and did some people watching. Wandered back past the Hachiko Statue of that little dog who waited for his master for 11 years ... I love that story!! Back to Asauksa and found out our cycle tour is canceled - rain tomorrow - damn. Next was dinner - we went to a tiny restaurant that had plastic seafood out the from in a bowl - looked good! Haha - it was nigiri-Zushi - sashimi - so a bowl of raw seafood on rice!!!! When we walked in the chef and few customers gave us a warm welcome like we were special guests!!! I'm thinking not a lot of westerners go here!!! We ate most of it - which was nice but caved on the raw prawn!!! When we left the customers wanted to know what we thought - no English was exchanged - but no need!!! Lol!!! Good day in Tokyo!!!
