Hi everyone!

After being nagged for the past few weeks to keep the blog updated here goes . . .

The apartment has worked out really well and we have been lucky enough to have some really great, very fun housemates who have turned the apartment into a bit of a party house, with parties and drinking games going on almost every night!! not that me and cat are complaining. Good news is I have managed to get a few more hours in 'cupcake' - the shop cat has been working at which is bringing a bit of money in and means i can afford to keep living the good life for a bit longer! have looked into supply teaching over here and will hopefully get that sorted in the next few weeks so i can start earning a bit more money.

Even with the short supply of funds that we have had we have still maaged to do and see a suprising amount in the past few weeks, thje amazing weather has meant that we have been able to visit sydneys many amazing beaches; manly, bondi, coogee, double bay and shark beach to name a few!! the tan isdefinately looking good!! managed to take in a few of the shows at sydney festival while it was here, a very odd magic show which we definately regreted getting tickets for (think we got carred away with the festival atmosphere!) and also reggie watts who didnt disappoint with an amzing show after we queued for a ridiculous amount of time to get tickets!

We have also managed to take in a lot of the sydney nightlfe, and have enjoyed going to some really lovely bars and clubs after the backpacker bars down the east coast! we made to check out some of the lovely weekend markets in paddys market, the rocks and paddington and struggled not to spend too much money!

The heatwaves over here have meant it has been extremely hot! pushing 40c on quite a few days, although it mnaged to rain on australia day which was quite ironic- the first day of rain in weeks!
