Thursday, 6-14-2012:
Awoke around 6:00am, but it was a little too chilly to get out of bed, so stayed under the covers until 7:00. Got the coffee going to warm me up, got showered, ran updates on my PC, unhooked & unplugged to pull out around 10:00.
Driving episodes of the day began at Springfield, MO where I had to take a detour to get on US-65 south. Needless to say, I took the wrong turn due to poor signage... I got back on track and had a fairly steep up and down roller coaster ride through Branson. Just passed there I crossed into Arkansas and turned west on US-412, which quickly went down to two lanes. But it seemed like the best route and it wasn't too bad of a drive. Last little mishap was missing the entrance to the RV park and driving a mile or two until I could turn around through a gas station. I arrived pretty much on time at 3:00.
The park is bare bones other than the golf course, but the WiFi is the best I've had so far. There is no shade and it is HOT here -- 90 degrees...!!! Sometime tomorrow around 5:00 I'm playing golf here with Darius (my friend of only 2 hours), so we'll see how quick the temperature drops in the evening.
I called Peggy when she got home from work, then I had dinner--noodle soup in the microwave. Washed up the dishes and got coffee ready for in the morning. Checked on how long daylight will last tomorrow--hoping that we can get all 18 in before dark. Then I watched "The Legend of Bagger Vance" a very good movie about golf and life.
Now it's almost bedtime and an end to another successful day...
