It is almost time!
Just 4 short days until the Tyler Family is reunited!
Ever since I was a little girl my family and I have taken road trips together. Whether it was traveling around the states to see relatives or around Europe to see the amazing sites, we all jumped in the car; loaded with food and games and music to venture around together. We had some amazing experiences which usually resulted in incredible laughs and memories.
For example our road trip from Holland to Italy, where we spent Christmas Eve in Vatican City. Before going to midnight mass to see the Pope, we ate dinner at a cute little restaurant. We were the only family there and we were having a great time, when...all of a sudden the lobsters in the tank got rowdy. One leaped out of the tank, and started crawling along the floor, sending all us girly girls a screaming and jumping on our chairs! hehehe When we finally got to midnight mass us daughters fell asleep in our seats, our mom shook us awake so we could see the tiny head of the Pope float by, and then returned to our slumber.
So my bags are almost packed, I have some playing cards ready, some road music ready and the camera charged.
Here is the game plan!
Dad, Mom, Paige, Becky and Amanda are flying out to meet me here in Oakland California. We are going to drive north. Stopping to see the breathtaking Crater Lake and then staying in Eugene Oregon; where we will reunite with the beautiful Olsen Family! The catalyst for this trip was to see Michelle graduate from college and celebrate her accomplishments! After a few days with our friends, we will hit the road again, driving through the Avenue of Giants and along the coast for the amazing sea side scenic route. Eventually we will return to the Bay Area to relax and explore, before the Tyler family departs back to Philadelphia, leaving me in Berkeley to continue on with my day to day routines and shenanigans.
Sounds good right!!
Oh, its gonna be!!
So stay tuned for some funny pictures and tales of the road, as you follow us on our 2012 Family Road Trip!
