So, spent 4 days in Pushkar, not really doing anything apart from walking round the market, spending money on crap! And also drinking lots of chai (indian tea) and lassi! Pushkar itself is only a small place round a holy lake so there wasn't anything to see like other places but it was really chilled out and relaxing to spend a few days NOT sightseeing!!
A note to our families, we were taken to the lake by a "Pushkar Priest" who made us say a prayer with a coconut to Krishna, for every member of our families, dead and alive, for good health, happiness, a nice house and a good promotion!? Although we had read about it several times in Lonely Planet, we didn't realise that yet again, this was just a big con for us to "donate" money. Although we think our famillies are worth the $1000 the priest suggested, we did only "donate" 100 rupees each (about 2 quid) for your wellbeing..sorry!!
Anyway, we met some lovely Aussies and spent most of our evenings in rooftop cafes learning about Australian wildlife! We did have a brilliant time and were quite sad to leave!! Next stop the blue city of Jodhpur
