Instead of waiting in Bangkok I went to Kanchanaburi for a couple days. It was a really chilled out couple of days where a hired a bicycle and rode around the town. Kanchanburi has links to WW2 so I checked out the cemeterys, museums and river Kwai bridge - a rather cultural day. The second day I decided to go on a tour around more of Kanchanburi. Firstly we stopped at the waterfall which was amazing. There were 7 levels to it and the bluest waster I have seen yet. In each one were the fish that eat all the dead skin off you which you usually see in tanks at fish spas, except, these were massive and it felt like they were biting you. I had to jump over the fish to avoid them attacking me. I met a girl, who was weird. She kept changing her job to different people we met along the way so she ranged from a costume designer to reality tv producer - crazy girl, from America obviously. After the waterfall I we headed to the WW2 Museum and death railway.
The next day I went to the Safari Park. It was a strange experience. When I got there, a group of about 50 school children, about 6/7 years old and 4 teachers were in the same area. As I was getting photo's taken with the parrots, the teachers kept standing next to me and getting photos with me. Later on, the elephant show, I was invited to sit with them and the children, with more photos taken. They bought me water, kept dragging me to the elephants with them and still I have no idea why. The only thing I can think is that I have white skin and english, but nonetheless, I ended up being the main attraction of the safari park for them. This continued to the crocodile show, where I was picked out of a crowd of about 60 boys from singapore, plus the school children, to ride a crocodile and put my hand in its jaw - the most terrifying experience yet. But the animals were amazing, feeding baby tigers and leopards, giraffes and swinging on two elephant trunks wrapped together. Then later that day it was back to Bangkok to get Nikki and make it back down to the Islands!!
